Fishing Lodge Assistant General Manager


The AGM operates in the best interest of each department and lodge guests at all times and coordinates the activities of lodge personnel as directed by the General Manager and assists him with the management of lodge operations. 

This position helps ensure the overall quality of the lodge and the achievement of operational goals as well as owner and guest satisfaction. 

Duties include but not limited to:

Assists the General Manager in overseeing and directing all aspects of fishing lodge operations including guest service, engineering, restaurant, guides, and maintenance

Day-to-day staff management and guests 

Directs activities of all hourly and exempt staff within the venue

Accountable for sales, direct operating expenses, and quality 

Act as manager on duty in absence of general manager 

Guest Service duties

Coordinate guest, staff, and other operational material arrival & departure to\from the Island 

Perform weekly and monthly inventory 

Ensuring optimal guest satisfaction scores

Utilizes training resources and standard operating procedures to effectively lead the lodge 

Reviews department performances and conducts weekly and monthly feedback

Sales - Maximizing room yields\resort revenue through innovative sales practices and management programs

Responsible for execution of policies, operating procedures, directives, menus, rules, and regulations for the staff.

Administrates staff scheduling 

Perform other job-related duties as requested

Knowledge and experience in fly fishing as a guide, outfitter, or retail is a bonus.

Knowledge of Spanish is a bonus. 

Knowledge of best practices for digital marketing and social media marketing are a bonus.
