Position:  Independent Sales Representative, St. Croix Rods (conventional freshwater and saltwater rod lines) and SEVIIN Reels 

Territory:  Pacific Northwest (AK, OR, WA)

Team:  Sales

Reports to:  National Sales Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities:  None

Position Summary:

An Independent Sales Representative will vigorously promote the St. Croix conventional freshwater and saltwater rod and SEVIIN reel brands in the Pacific Northwest Territory (Alaska, Oregon, and Washington), develop and maintain strong relationships with prospects and customers, drive and generate sales, and increase St. Croix’s market share within the conventional fishing industry.  St. Croix offers a highly competitive commission schedule and other financial incentives.  The Independent Sales Representative position is commission-based only – no employer benefits are expressed or implied.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prospect and qualify new sales leads.
  • Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects corresponding with St. Croix’s sales calendar.
  • Create, plan, and deliver presentations on conventional St. Croix Rod and SEVIIN reel products.
  • Track all sales activities in company CRM and B2B systems and keep current by updating account information regularly.
  • Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects.
  • Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers.
  • Meet and/or exceed sales quotas.
  • Coordinate with other St. Croix Sales Team members and departments to optimize sell-through efforts.

 

Required Qualifications for Independent Sales Representative:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 2-4 years of sales experience in fishing or outdoor industry
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Ability to travel within sales territory, to prospective trade shows and to St. Croix/industry events
  • Valid driver’s license
