This position will manage business critical product logistics and inventory. This role achieves results by working with in-office staff, overseas suppliers, warehousing and transportation providers to manage inventory, ensure reliability of supply chain, and execute high performance fulfillment to support sales goals. The Logistics Manager reports to the Financial Controller.
Key tasks include:
-Forecast, place orders and manage product inventory. Identify product aging and second quality inventories and propose resolution. Serve as primary point of contact for out of stock and on-order status inquiries.
-Lead relationship with warehousing and fulfillment, including monitoring performance, enhancing procedures as necessary, training warehouse staff in execution of Key Account fulfilment procedures and conducting regular inventory audits
-Assess, recommend and negotiate optimal outbound shipping methods and carriers in the US & Canada to meet business need.
-Advance business performance by analyzing logistical challenges and producing solutions
-Work with key accounts to understand shipping requirements, serve as primary contact for variances, and challenging chargebacks.
-Supervise and develop skills of an Operational Support Clerk.

-3+ years’ experience in a logistics and inventory management
-Advanced verbal and written (email) communication skills. Must be concise and influential via phone, email and in-person - propose solutions, explain challenges, and effectively work with partners and Nikwax peers.
-Ability to set and track logistics metrics to meet performance goals.
-Must possess competency with Microsoft Office Excel
-Experience with warehouse/freight logistics terminology
-Supervisory / people management experience
Preferred but not required:
-College degree preferred
-Previous work with consumer packaged good
-Experience with chemical compliance issues (GHS / HCS 2012)
-Outdoor sports experience
-Previous inventory management database software experience
Compensation: $41-51K annual salary DOE. Team sales bonus program, health insurance benefits, generous holiday schedule and vacation days are part of total compensation package. Nikwax NA is an equal opportunity employer.
