We are passionate about providing the highest quality service and products to our customers and are looking to grow our team. We are looking for a customer-service oriented retail sales associate who is passionate about bike and snow sports and has an interest in growth opportunities. Previous retail experience required.


Job Description:


The Ski Rental/Service Shop manager position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our ski rental and service shop and team of ski technicians. The ideal candidate for this role has a can-do, take initiative personality that thrives in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a positive attitude. This role also requires great communication and the ability to lead team members by providing clear direction and constructive feedback. The ability to prioritize work while maintaining attention to detail is also a major focus of this position. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train and mentor rental staff
  • Ensure that rental staff are fully trained in fitting and adjusting rental and demo equipment to suit the needs of customers
  • Work with Retail Manager to ensure that shop technicians have completed requisite certifications
  • Ensure that rental staff can advise on appropriate rental equipment, listening to the clients’ skiing goals and considering the conditions
  • Manage and maintain accurate rental records, including ensuring that all of the appropriate Rental Forms and Liability Waivers are completed
  • Manage Rental and Appointment Software, including training, updates and correspondence with software vendors
  • Manage Season Rentals, including tracking due dates and assessing late fees
  • Work with Retail Manager to ensure that rentals and demos are safe, clean and well-maintained and to replace/repair equipment as necessary
  • Keep an accurate and updated inventory of all rental and demo equipment and work with Buyer to order new rental equipment as needed

Service Shop Management:

  • Work with General Manager to hire, train and mentor shop technicians
  • Work with General Manager to ensure that shop technicians have completed requisite certifications
  • Work with General Manager to manage check-in and check-out for services such as tunes, mounts, and repairs
  • Make sure staff knows how to use and maintain tuning machines properly and safely
  • Schedule and facilitate periodic and annual service of tuning equipment.
  • Maintain and replenish shop supplies as needed
  • Work with General Manager to ensure that all necessary paperwork and liability release forms for shop work are completed as required
  • Work with General Manager to ensure that shop turn around times are communicated clearly to customers and that work is completed in a timely manner
  • Work with General Manager to ensure that shop pricing is accurate and clearly communicated to customers
  • Deal with all service-related ski and bike warranties

  • Three years retail experience, 1-2 years management experience ideally, but willing to train the right candidate.
