What We Are Looking For

Tailwind is seeking a COO/EOS Integrator to lead our team through rapid growth and work tightly with the leadership team to achieve our goals. We are looking for a personable leader who communicates with clarity and enjoys developing people and keeping everyone rowing together in the same direction. The COO/Integrator is an adept project manager, prioritizes, simplifies, and keeps the team focused, identifies and resolves issues effectively, and converts vision into tactical plans and execution.

 

The COO/Integrator leads our team in setting and executing quarterly and annual goals, is responsible for achieving P&L objectives, enjoys running the day-to-day business, and works collaboratively with the CEO/Visionary to translate great ideas into functional plans. They are a conceptual thinker with strong analytical skills and knowledge of finance, marketing, and operations. This is a full-time, exempt position with a minimum of three direct reports, located in Durango, CO.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and hold the leadership team accountable, integrating efforts to achieve quarterly and annual goals
  • Develop and execute business plan to achieve or exceed P&L objectives
  • Ensure effective communication exists throughout the organization
  • Manage day-to-day aspects of the business
  • Ensure the leadership team is healthy, functional, cohesive, and resolves issues effectively
  • Develop employees and remove obstacles and barriers
  • Manage accounting/finance, legal, and IT partners, oversight of Admin and HR
  • Lead weekly Leadership Team meetings
  • Collaborate and stay on the same page with CEO/Visionary, turn ideas into functional plans for the company

 

What We Need From You:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business
  • 5 + years leading, managing, and holding people accountable; decisive and great at planning and organizing
  • Proven experience as COO or relevant role
  • Excellent communicator driving values, focus, simplicity, and clarity
  • Conceptual thinker with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Technically savvy and continuous learner; can leverage ERP (Netsuite a plus) and data to drive decisions
  • Knowledge of finance, operations, marketing, and sales
  • Enjoy running day to day business and converting ideas into plans
  • Employee coach and mentor who enjoys developing people
  • Experience in the outdoor industry a plus

Salary Range: $115k – 135k, Depending on experience
