Erem’s first product, the Biocircular™ Xerocole, is a hiking boot that sets a new standard both in terms of desert performance and environmental sustainability. Erem has multiple other footwear products in late-stages of development, and will soon be expanding into other product lines, including apparel.

Erem is now looking to add an extraordinary talent to our team to help lead our digital marketing and eCommerce efforts as we come out of launch and into full-scale commercial operations. Manager Of Digital & eCommerce

The Manager of Paid Digital & eCommerce will be responsible for leading (1) paid digital strategy, execution, analytics, and reporting (2) SEO strategy, execution, and analytics (3) website optimization, maintenance, and analytics. This role will report to Erem’s VP of Marketing and work closely with Erem’s CEO, Director of Operations, and Digital Marketing Manager. This role will have access to brand agency support and freelance graphic design but is expected to have the ability to and bias towards rolling up their sleeves and getting things done themselves. As such, expertise with key software platforms such as Ad Managers and Google Analytics is a must. 

Specific responsibilities include:

  1. Helping strategically allocate a significant paid digital marketing budget across various channels and stages of the digital marketing funnel; executing on advertising from ad creation to actually placing the ads; monitoring and reporting on the efficacy of the ads

  2. Helping determine Erem’s SEO strategy by doing an SEO analysis and audit, and then implementing the determined SEO strategy both through website optimization, paid advertising, and content creation; monitoring and reporting on the efficacy of the SEO strategy

  3. Ensuring strong brand presentation on our website while delivering a high-conversion commercial asset that is seamlessly integrated with Erem’s warehouse and inventory software. Support is available as needed (for design and for coding, etc), but this role is expected to have experience operating and overseeing a Shopify domain.

As a key member on a small marketing team, the Digital & eComm Manager will also be asked to contribute to, and lend their expertise to other marketing strategies and initiatives including email marketing, affiliate marketing, influencer marketing, and more. 


Additionally, the right person for this role:

  1. Has 5+ years of paid digital & eComm marketing experience

  2. Is extremely comfortable with the quantitative side of paid digital marketing and analytics, yet has appreciation for creative and brand marketing

  3. Is able to lead time-sensitive programming from briefing to execution with minimal oversight while balancing multiple competing priorities

  4. Is a fast-paced individual with a bias towards quickly test, learn, and iterate

  5. Is an entrepreneurial individual that thrives in a low-structure environment and takes changes of plan ‘in stride’ and with a smile

  6. Is happy working in a remote environment
