Mechanic

Golden Bike Shop is looking for experienced mechanics to join our kick-ass team of bike industry professionals.

We’re looking for candidates who are technically proficient, passionate about riding dirt, and excited to learn and problem solve collaboratively with some of the best mechanics in the biz. Our service department deals primarily with high-end trail and enduro bikes, but we see a little bit of everything, so experience with road/gravel/etc. is still super useful! We do extensive suspension service in-house and we can teach you everything you need to know to get down and dirty with the latest in forks and shocks–even if you rarely dealt with suspension at your previous gig.  We also know that you should work to live rather than living to work and take your work-life balance seriously.

Qualifications

One or more years of professional bike mechanic experience

Confidence with a wide range of cycling tech including modern 12 speed drivetrains, as well as hydraulic and electronic systems

Eagerness to learn what you don’t already know

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent customer service skills

Bonus points for prior experience with suspension, wheel building, and ebike drive systems

Double bonus points for ski and board tech experience.

Compensation and Benefits

$20/hr and up
