JOB SUMMARY

 This position is essential in keeping the production line moving and ENVE customers happy. This role is responsible for the overall coordination of materials and visual management of production scheduling. The Production Planner will be a motivated, team driven individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who must be able to prioritize and make sound decisions. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1.     Plan and schedule workflow using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software for each operation to ensure proper materials are available to maintain flow in production. This includes reviewing demand (sales orders, forecast, etc.), analyzing material requirements, prioritizing work orders, and promptly informing relevant supervision of pilot and production schedule changes.

2.     Based on sales orders and forecasts, estimate future production plans (including seasonal trends).

3.     Monitor material supply flow including identifying and communicating to procurement team shortages when applicable.

4.     Maintain visual management of material between areas, coordinating with other departments to expedite materials as needed.

5.     Inventory reconciliation, including negative and that affected by issues, performing root cause analysis when issues are found. 

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

6.     Attend daily production, Heijunka, inventory and backlog stand up meetings.

7.     Submit to management status and performance reports.

8.     Work with cross functional team on supplier quality issues.

9.     Cycle counting inventory at the direction of the Supply Chain Manager.

10.   Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.

11.   Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.

12.   Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY/POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This job does not have any supervisory responsibilities. This is a full-time position; days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day. Regular onsite attendance is expected and required. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (R) = Required (P) = Preferred (Equivalent combinations will be considered)

(P) Associates degree preferred.

(P) 2+ years’ supply chain experience, preferably in a planning or scheduling role.

(R) Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

(R) Ability to use a computer/tablet/keyboard.

(R) Experience with ERP and MES systems; Quantum, SAP byDesign a plus.

(R) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

(R) Effective communication skills.

(R) Ability to read and write English.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS (R) = Required (P) = Preferred

PHYSICAL / VISUAL REQUIREMENTS

·         Must be able to work in an office and loud manufacturing environment.

·         Requires sitting for long periods of time at a keyboard in an office environment but can also require standing, bending, grasping, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching to perform the functions of this position.

·         Must be able to understand the speech of another person as well as speak clearly so listeners can understand.

·         Regularly required to talk and hear.

·         Must be able to occasionally lift product, supplies and materials weighing up to 40 lbs (couple times per week).
