General Summary

The Senior Manager, Product Development Operations provides global direction and alignment of process and technology to support and enable business growth. This role leads key strategic initiatives related to process, tools, and systems that support the overall development, procedures, Centric PLM system, sample management process and the go-to-market (GTM) calendar.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Creates project plans to address technology and data integration, identify risks, framework for on-going support and governance, convey a long-term program roadmap, document cross-functional resources needed for implementation, and track/communicate the progress of the various deployments
  • Identifies, implements, and communicates opportunities for continuous improvement within all Product Development systems. Monitors the execution for seasonal development, identifies areas that are underperforming and proposes systems/technology or process changes to improve going forward
  • Works with other business units and systems owners to streamline and utilize data and systems effectively and efficiently
  • Defines operations standards for calendar, product timeline, and workflows for all brand and product types to ensure consistency across projects
  • Partners cross-functionally to collect high-level and detailed requirements for process improvement and technology solutions. Manages requirements data for ongoing development of appropriate technology processes and tools
  • Defines and documents best practices and SOPs for cross-functional and global business processes. Updates and documents old or non-existent business processes
  • Establishes and manages the product line management (PLM) system strategy. Gains support and buy-in across the organization
  • Defines user requirements and translates those into functional specifications
  • Documents current and future state business processes for project initiatives
  • Drives the overall technology efforts for GTM
  • Provides guidance and management to the Sample function for interfacing with cross functional teams in product, planning, costing, logistics, and finance for all sample orders, sample receiving and processing, and distribution approach
  • Manages the Product Development Operations and Sample Management team(s). Participates in setting the annual goals for the department and ensures that team members understand their level of influence and contribution to those goals. Administers performance reviews, coaching, and training

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Seven (7) years of experience working in product operations department. Two (2) years of experience in a supervisory, management, or lead capacity
  • Advanced understanding of PLM/ERP system functionality
  • Certified PMP or equivalent work experience required
  • Able to present and skillfully negotiate to gain the support and commitment of others
  • Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm and inspire as a change agent with a passion for results
  • Ability to influence decision making up, down, and across the organization
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
