General Overview: The engineering technician will work directly with new product development engineers to fabricate and assemble carbon fiber wheels used in the bicycle industry.

Responsibilities and Duties Include and Not Limited to:

·         Precisely place carbon fiber materials into metal tool/mold

·         Technical aptitude including working with hands.

·         Use engineering drawings and computer-controlled equipment to cut carbon fiber materials to shape.

·         Read and understand technical documents including engineering drawings and procedures.

·         Attention to detail; catch and fix small imperfections.

·         Operate a variety of equipment including drilling machines, ovens and cutting machines.

·         Work and communicate with engineers to meet deadlines, prioritize work, and make modifications

·         Basic computer skills including email and spreadsheets.

 

Required Skills:   

·         Strong communication (verbal and listening) and problem-solving skills

·         Ability to effectively manage workload within established guidelines

·         Ability to work proactively and make independent decisions where required

·         Ability to build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally

·         Experienced with Microsoft Excel

 

Education and Experience: Two-year technical degree preferred but nor required. Must have a strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read technical drawings and build to specifications.
