Who are You?

You love working with your hands and creating quality products. You are interested in van conversions and learning how the process of building vans can be done in an efficient, consistent and quality manner. Repeating processes and finding more efficient ways to complete those processes is an exciting prospect. You are task oriented and consider yourself a hard-working individual. You work well in a team setting and are coachable. 

Essential Functions

Position is responsible for the build of our lifestyle vehicles including, but not limited to, exterior and interior component installation, wiring and quality control.  May flex to assist other departments as needed including inventory, post processing and assembly. Position reports to the Production Manager.  

Responsibilities & Duties

• Take a van chassis from a shell to a completed lifestyle vehicle through the hands on installation of fans, windows, wiring, swivel seats, other components and cabinets.

• Review van builds with a final checklist to ensure that quality controls are adhered to.

• Engage in continuous process improvement of assigned role in the build including identifying more efficient build processes while maintaining quality.

• Assist in prefabrication as needed to insure the cadence of inventory needed for production.

• Work closely with other members of the build team to ensure organization and cleanliness of build bays and warehouse.

Communication

• Daily communication with the Production Floor manager to align with build schedule and van production.

• Communicate closely with build team members to ensure safe, quality production standards.

Ideal Experience

• Some amount of labor trade experience is necessary (construction, landscaping, painting, etc). 

• Ability to operate basic hand tools and can read a tape measure.

• Have a background working in physically demanding environments with attention to safety.

• Experience with repeating processes and proven ability to improve and find efficiencies.

Physical Requirements

• Must be comfortable working with a variety of power tools and equipment.

• Must be comfortable working on the roof of a van (8’) using power tools to install fans & solar panels.

• Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 70+ pounds regularly.

• Must be able to work in a warehouse environment and able to work on concrete floors.

The Nitty-Gritty

Job Type: Full time / Hourly

Schedule: 40+ hours/week.

Hourly Wage: $20.00
