Overview:

As the Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist of Clam Outdoors you will provide support to the Marketing Team as needed to help accomplish objectives and goals related to the digital marketing tools for all Clam Outdoors brands. You will be responsible for the administrative tasks related to social media, digital content, and other digital marketing initiatives for Clam Outdoors. You will work alongside the marketing team and other partners on these projects to make sure everything is continually updated and issues are resolved. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, ability to execute tasks in a timely manner, and perform day-to-day marketing functions with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in the management of social media channels for each brand under Clam Outdoors. These social media pages include channels with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, stories, podcasts, and more. This management includes in preparing, scheduling and making social media posts, re-engagement on channels, and other tasks related to social media. 

  • Generate and manage content for social media, digital advertising, email blasts and other marketing uses.

  • Work with the marketing team in planning, executing and analyzing digital and social media strategies, posts, and promotions.

  • Plan, design and execute email blasts for companies brands.

  • Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality, coordination, and organization of the companies digital marketing materials like the assets, content and other related items.

  • Assist in updating and maintaining product information and marketing content on websites and programs.

  • Monitor and respond if necessary to website/online requests, product reviews and questions on our websites, third party websites and social media. 

  • Assist the marketing team in search engine optimization (SEO) initiatives and paid social advertising campaigns.

  • Analyze digital marketing statistics and analytics with the marketing team on a regular basis.

  • Support and work alongside the marketing team in planning, organizing and executing various projects, marketing initiatives and other tasks associated with each brand of the company.

  • Work with the marketing team to coordinate and execute various events including trade shows, consumer shows/expos, fishing tournaments, and other on and off-site events.

  • Represent the company in business and other settings in front of customers, the media, sales team members and others at various events, trade shows, etc. Some travel is required throughout the year.

  • Assist and perform all other duties and projects as assigned.


Qualifications/Application Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required in marketing or other related field.

  • Experience with websites, specifically Magento 2.0 platforms preferred.

  • Proficient with Google Drive and Microsoft Office.

  • Experience and/or familiarity with the fishing industry and/or Clam Outdoors product lines preferred.

  • Experience with MailChimp is a plus.

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

  • Excellent time management and organization skills.

  • Strong communication skills, oral and written.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment effectively.

  • Ability to travel to different events, trade shows, etc. throughout the year as needed.


Additional Information:

  • This position may require weekend and evening work at different times throughout the year depending on workload and projects taking place. 

  • Compensation and benefits for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. 

  • Clam Outdoors offers various benefits including employer paid health and dental insurance, 401(k) and paid time off.

  • Full time. Standard workweek schedule; Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5pm. Additional time as necessary.

  • Job is in person based out of Clam Outdoors headquarters in Rogers, MN.

  • Reports to Marketing Content Manager and Director of Marketing.
