Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bike Mechanic to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about bikes, thrives in a collaborative work environment, and brings a positive, can-do attitude. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical expertise, enjoys outdoor sports, and is excited to contribute to both our bike and ski service operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on bicycles and e-bikes. 

• Assist Shop Manager with shop operations, ensuring quality control, workflow efficiency, and excellent customer service. 

• Assist with ski and snowboard tuning and repairs (experience preferred but not required—training provided). 

• Support rental shop operations, including equipment setup, safety checks, and customer fitting. 

• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workshop environment. 

• Utilize modern POS systems for service tickets, transactions, and inventory management. 

• Communicate effectively with customers and team members while maintaining a positive, friendly presence.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional bike and/or e-bike mechanic experience. 

• Strong technical skills with modern bike components, drivetrains, wheels, suspension, and e-bike systems. 

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. 

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

• Strong communication and customer-service skills. 

• Experience using modern POS and service workflow systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ski/snowboard tuning experience. 

• Prior experience as a rental technician. 

• Is either a skier or snowboarder.

• Self-motivated with strong time-management skills. 

• Willingness to learn, adapt, and support multiple shop departments during peak seasons.
