Over 25 years ago, Kako's founders were producing high end tire chains in the mountains of northern Italy, when they were introduced to a clever product that provided traction for walkers in snow and ice conditions. From their experience with vehicle traction, Kako developed a line of personal traction devices based on the same techniques used for automobile traction - including studs, chains and cables. Kako's experience with vehicle traction has resulted in a line of superior quality, easy to use shoe/boot cleats which are great for running, walking and hiking. Kako has historically focused on the safety market, but is now expanding into retail. We recognize the importance of on time delivery and are committed to providing our customers the best possible service.
