Dating back to 1912 it was the Greb family from Kitchener, Ontario that began the Kodiak journey with the first giant step; a boot designed to help Canadians brave the harsh climates and conditions they faced everyday. It was called the Greb boot.
As decades passed, Kodiak began contracts with the Canadian Armed Forces which led to many of the 'firsts' that Kodiak has celebrated. In the 1950's they introduced the first fully waterproof leather boot.
Today, Kodiak is still the one name in outdoor/workwear that defines safety and continues to provide the latest technology and understanding of what Canadians and consumers the world over have come to expect: the very, very best.
