Monarch Mountain is a privately owned ski area 20 minutes west of Salida, Colorado on the continental divide. Monarch is all natural, we do not use artificial snow and our annual snowfall averages 350 inches. There are six lifts and two terrain parks open during the winter. The base elevation at Monarch is 10,790 feet and the summit elevation is 11,952 feet. We pride ourselves on hiring the friendliest employees and providing an outstanding experience for our staff and guests alike.
