Company Description
The Continental Divide Trail Alliance (CDTA) is a nonprofit organization formed to work with federal land management agencies in the completion, management and protection of the Continental Divide Trail (CDT). When completed, the CDT will travel 3,100 miles from Canada to Mexico through Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico.
To date, the CDTA has been successful in coordinating $1 million in volunteer labor, improving and completing hundreds of miles of the CDT, building positive relationships with federal land managers and local clubs, organizing the first border-to-border survey of the Trail, implementing an Adopt-A-Trail program and convincing Congress to appropriate nearly $2 million for the CDT in the Forest Service budget.
