Company Description
Craghoppers began as a meeting of
minds in a makeshift clothing workshop
in Batley, a small Yorkshire village in
Northern England, back in 1965.
In those days, there was very limited
specialist clothing for outdoor
adventures. Heavy woollens kept the
wet out and the warmth in and rainwear
was an umbrella! Craghoppers though
had different ambitions and decided
to create a specialist outdoor range
that took us within 12 months to the
very top of Mount Everest.
A new age was born and we have
never looked back. Now that our gear
had been tested on the worlds highest
mountain we knew we could look after
all hikers and climbers the world over.
And so, behind every stitch lies 50
years of experience, 50 years of design,
50 years of construction and 50 years
of fun.
