The Retail Footwear business at Honeywell is made up of 3 fast growing brands, The Muck Boot Company which targets the Outdoor market, Xtratuf a strong brand in Fishing and Marine market, and Oliver Boot Makers a key player in Work Safety. All three brands have a rich heritage in boot making and have evolved into high performance footwear brands. The Muck Boot Company story began in 1999 based on the need for a more comfortable waterproof boot for use in messy and tough conditions. Quickly establishing a strong and loyal customer base, the brand has become one of the fastest growing lines in the waterproof footwear market. Today we build premium footwear to enable consumers to live and active, outdoor lifestyle, undeterred by elements. From farm fields to hunting paths, frozen sidewalks to ski slopes, our consumers live in our product. Xtratuf comes from Alaska, where nothing is forgiven and no compromise goes unpunished. Where 50-foot seas swallow the slightest missteps. We come from a place of unreasonable demands, and impossible standards. For more than 50 years we’ve exceeded them all. Oliver Boot Makers has a rich history that began in the mid 1800’s with James Oliver, a bootmaker by trade, who traveled to the goldfields of Ballarat Australia to find his wealth. His quest to find gold was unsuccessful, but his understanding of the needs of the mining worker became a valuable asset when he returned to his craft to make tough and durable boots for miners and farmers. Today, Oliver utilizes modern technology like Poron® XRD™ for flexible and highly effective metatarsal protection, NANOlite footbed comfort system and NATUREform wide profile steel toe caps; all engineered and designed for extreme comfort, performance and durability. Oliver Safety Footwear is now part of Honeywell Safety Products sand adds diversity to our full line of safety footwear as well as specialized protection for Oil and Gas, Mining and Heavy Metal Fabrication workers.
