Job Description & Requirements

Provide input and assist in shaping public relations and paid marketing strategy, so that Vortex remains a leader in the industry, focused on innovation and creativity.

Assist in organization, execution, and evaluation of paid marketing efforts – key tasks include collection of internal and external performance metrics, management of discount program and activation opportunities, and proactive development of tools to measure effectiveness.

Work closely with other Vortex Marketing Department staff to execute paid marketing advertising needs, from strategy and development of creative materials to execution of ad submissions with vendors – act as Marketing Communications team conduit to Project Management team to ensure collaboration.

Develop, organize and track processes to prospect new paid marketing and media opportunities.

Develop, organize and track processes to measure effectiveness of paid marketing efforts and evaluate external options to better track effectiveness.

Manage product allotment, product seeding, and test and evaluation programs to ensure processes, goals and opportunities to measure success are clear and established.

Collaborate with marketing teams as needed to develop workflows to maximize efficiency of Marketing Communications team processes.

Work collaboratively with Community Manager to assist in maximizing collaboration with current Vortex® ambassadors.

Work collaboratively with Community Manager in developing, organizing and tracking performance metrics for Vortex® ambassadors to measure effectiveness and determine future goals and outcomes.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years relevant experience (or equivalent combination) pertaining to marketing, public relations, project management or related areas.

Firm knowledge of established and potential new paid marketing efforts and approaches.

Forward thinking - an ability to develop new ideas regarding content creation and paid marketing efforts.

Ability to stay organized and effectively manage multiple tasks.

Ability to manage professional relationships and meet deadlines across multiple sections within Vortex Marketing Department.

Desire for collaboration, both within Vortex® and with external partners.

Ability to adapt to new tasks quickly and make timely decisions.

Must be willing to travel.

Must be comfortable around dogs and firearms.
