The MIC’s government relations team is looking for an EV Policy Manager to join the team. This position is
responsible for serving as primary point of contact and liaison between our trade Associations’ electric

MIC Government Relations Office on federal and state issues, including technology choices,
infrastructure, battery standards, aftermarket and dealer concerns, safety, and charging availability.

The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, industry knowledge, and strong analytics. While a
passion for motorcycle/ATV riding or ROV driving and familiarity with the powersports industry is
highly valued, it is not a requirement.

Job Duties include (but aren’t limited to):

- Stay informed on federal, state, and local regulations related to EVs and off-road vehicles to shape
industry positions and guide members on compliance.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the EV and off-road vehicle industries,
including manufacturers, suppliers, dealers, regulators, and advocacy groups.
- Research emerging policies, regulations, and legislation affecting the EV and off-road vehicle market,
and provide analysis to guide strategic decisions and advocacy.
- Provide expert advice on EV technology, including battery safety, charging infrastructure, and vehicle
standards, ensuring compliance and industry alignment.
- Track EV adoption, infrastructure progress, and market trends, providing regular reports for strategic
planning.
- Work with members and other industry groups to form unified positions on issues like infrastructure
needs and environmental impact.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business,
or a related field.
- Preferred: Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in Public Policy, Environmental Policy, Engineering, or a
related field) is advantageous and may substitute for some work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in policy analysis, government relations, or advocacy
- Technical Knowledge in areas related to EV technology, such as electrical engineering or energy
systems, is highly desirable.
- Ability to collaborate with a team as well as work independently.
- Enthusiasm for riding or driving motorcycles, ATVs, ROVs, or other vehicles (electric or traditional) is
a plus, along with a strong passion and knowledge of the powersports and/or automotive industries.
- Role is remote but can be hybrid.
