Job Description & Requirements
Seeking an experienced Executive Director (part or full time) for the non-profit Utah Outdoor Association (UOA), to oversee all operations, functions and activities. You will be responsible for implementing the strategic direction and vision, as an integral part of the outdoor industry in Utah, which contributes more than $6.4 billion to the economy, employs more than 83,000 people, and is the primary driver behind the tourism industry. As an organization, we want to increase representation of all races, genders, and body types in the outdoor industry and are committed to building diverse and inclusive teams. Responsibilities
- Implement strategies that promote the organization’s mission and “voice” with members, industry and academic partners, and prospective allies
- Drive success reaching our key goals: 1) talent development and acquisition for the Utah outdoor industry, 2) facilitate rich best practice knowledge forums and networking channels, 3) identify and connect Utah outdoor industry with Federal and State resources
- Motivate and organize the effort of our team of volunteers
- Direct fundraising efforts for the organization to ensure ongoing viability
- Oversee the organization’s budget and overall finances
- Create and execute on business plans set by the board of directors
