Director of Sales and Marketing

Design Salt, Inc is seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing for our sleep gear brand, COCOON. The position offers growth potential toward General Manager of our overall U.S. Operations in Wenatchee, WA.  With headquarters in Austria, we are renowned specialists in sleep gear and travel accessories. COCOON Travel Sheets, Mummy Liners and Travel Accessories (www.cocoon.at) are enjoyed by adventure travelers worldwide.

As our Director of Sales and Marketing, you will work across all US markets with the responsibility of increasing revenue and expanding our partner network. You will seek, qualify and close new opportunities with both new and existing accounts that may include retailers, e-tailers and distributors. You will take the lead role in developing and executing a sales and marketing program across all market segments.

Roles and responsibilities of the Director of Sales & Marketing are:

• Coordinate all USA sales and marketing efforts.
• Develop and maintain key partner accounts.
• Locate and enlarge our network of partners.
• Organize and attend trade shows.
• Support a network of Sale Representatives to include planning, directing, hiring and terminating.
• Manage and maintain the U.S. website and catalog.

Some of the tasks you will be required to perform:

• Define a marketing strategy and manage execution of the plan with a strong commitment to a developed budget.
• Create an annual sales forecast to support production planning.
• Maintain Cocoon catalog and website for the USA.
• Calculate and maintain Cocoon pricelists for the USA.
• Provide periodic reports and updates to Austria.

Qualifications:

·       Minimum education – bachelor’s degree in a business discipline. 

·       Experience leading and managing individuals, teams, and business partnerships.

·       5+ years successfully selling products in the outdoor or travel markets.

·       Experience organizing, participating in, and/or implementing trade shows within the outdoor or travel industry.

·       Ability to travel as needed.
