Job Description & Requirements

ZOLEO is seeking a Channel Sales Manager, ZOLEO to cover the U.S Market. ZOLEO is an exciting new satellite communications device and smartphone app that enables global messaging with your smartphone, from the north pole to the south, whether in or out of cellular coverage.

You will be responsible for building on ZOLEO’s success by managing relationships with key retail partners and independent sales agencies, identifying, and securing new retail partner relationships, and promoting sell through. Target channel partners include:

National, regional, and local outdoor adventure gear retailers

Outdoor adventure markets including marine, hunting, fishing, powersports, aviation and other specialty retailers

In addition, you will help coordinate, implement, and present product training programs as a needed and will be expected to build and maintain a positive rapport with our ZOLEO partners.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage sales agencies / independent sales representatives
  • Oversee and establish sales goals by channel, representative and by territory. Have strong analytical skills to identify how agencies are performing and recognize trends and opportunities.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key retail partners
  • Plan seasonal business by territory and drive sales via inventory, incentives, and product introductions
  • Provide clear communication to sales representatives on brand, product, and accountability
  • Forecast demand by territory and account
  • Strategize with sales representatives on ways to drive market share
  • Work cross functionally with internal teams, including Product, Marketing & Operations.
  • Manage communication internally regarding buyer feedback, product evaluations and market research
  • Leverage product and market knowledge to create compelling sales and channel evolution strategies
  • Prepare and lead presentations for sales meetings, attend and coordinate trade shows and channel events, which may include up to 10% travel

 

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 5+ years in sales, account management, or related
  • Experienced using Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Strong communicator
  • Organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in wholesale sales and strategic business development experience
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to forecast inventory levels, seasonal flows, and gross margin
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Experience using Tableau
