About The Role

Alchemy Bicycle Co is hiring a Direct Sales Manager responsible for all aspects of our rider experience.  Primary touchpoints include the brand’s showroom, and demo center, fielding inbound phone, chat, and email inquiries, and making outbound phone calls and emails.  Additionally, this role is responsible for strategic follow-up focused on maximizing sales results.   Alchemy is a small but growing cycling company, so today, this is a single-contributor role that intends to hire additional Sales Representatives on an as-needed basis.  This role is ideal for passionate riders, equally well-versed in Road and Mountain Riding, with professionally developed sales acumen and intrinsic leadership skills.  An ideal candidate will have 3+ years of technical experience in retail bicycle shops, 2+ years of professional sales experience, a dynamic and engaging personality, a highly detail-focused mindset, and a desire to expand and grow their skills at an exciting new role at an emerging brand.  


Responsibilities

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing sales leads through direct sale activities

  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs

  • Schedule consultations and tours with prospective customers

  • Communicate with customers to establish realistic expectations and offer support through the production process’

  • Run and operate Alchemy’s customer database (CRM), and a systematic approach to generating and successfully converting leads into sales

  • Offer exemplary customer service to our current and prospective clients

  • Utilize the data and reporting from our CRM to present sales, revenue, and realistic forecasts to the management team

  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status

  • Set objectives, provide coaching, and monitor performance of sales representatives once they are hired into the company

  • Work with marketing department to maximize sales leads


Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization

  • Successful experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and close rate KPI

  • A systematic and structured approach for daily task management and organization

  • Intimate knowledge of the both Road and Mountain bikes, and the greater cycling industry, including current trends and component specifications

  • A naturally inquisitive nature that is always excited to learn, grow, and develop
