Job Description

As our Sales Representative, you will be directly contributing to the growth of White Duck Outdoors by playing an integral role in supporting customers through purchase decisions, building partnerships with other organizations and traveling to expos to expand our presence. This will involve cultivating relationships with leads, educating them about our products and closing business with them. 

Sales Activity

  • Prepare lead lists of business customers, including glamping sites, outfitters, boy scouts, festivals and more

  • Identify key avenues for partnerships and large orders
  • Handle all website chat during business hours

  • Maintain a professional and technical knowledge of all things White Duck Outdoors

  • Be present at all consumer expos

  • Grow existing sales channels by regularly checking in with current customers and upselling or cross-selling

  • Monitor sales data and stay up to date with customer needs, which might include questions or order issues

  • Submit weekly (or daily) reports with key metrics like calls, meetings or sales numbers

  • Find innovative ways to grow the business and contribute to new, unexplored company initiatives

Communication

  • Must be able to create a value-added-partner relationship with the accounts
  • Become an expert in the features and benefits of our brand
  • Ensure all sales data is current in company and sales CRM
  • Provide timely follow-up

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in a sales representative or related role
  • Old-school sales approach is appreciated! Be excited to chase leads, to pick up the phone, or follow up regularly via emails
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company
  • Works well independently, as well as within a team
  • Ability to execute a wide variety of tasks and work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution of tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication
  • A passion for building relationships
  • Regional (and sometimes, national) travel is expected
  • A self-starter attitude and eagerness to learn
