Are you a biking enthusiast with a knack for tinkering with bikes? Basalt Bike and Ski in Carbondale, CO, is searching for a skilled Master Bike Technician to join our team. Our ideal candidate is someone who not only loves all forms of biking - whether it's gravel, mountain, road, or the classic hard tailing - but also possesses the technical expertise to handle any repair or maintenance task that comes their way.
As a Master Bike Technician at Basalt Bike and Ski, you'll be located in the bustling hub of the Roaring Fork Valley in Carbondale, Colorado. Imagine yourself working within our shop, strategically positioned amidst Carbondale's stunning natural scenery, with inviting singletrack trails just moments away. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for individuals looking to blend their passion for biking with their technical expertise while embracing the professional atmosphere and breathtaking surroundings of Carbondale, CO.
Requirements:
-Minimum two years in bike shop repair experience
-Complete knowledge of modern bikes
-Ski Tech experience is a plus but is not required. Willing to learn ski/board services (tunes and repairs)
-Open-minded with solid communication skills
-Able to work with customers in a friendly and informative manner regardless of their experience/knowledge
-Must be authorized to work in the United States
-Must be able and willing to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to be on your feet for a prolonged period
-Full-time employment is 32+ hours a week and includes working some weekends and holidays.
Essential Job Functions:
-Complete tunes and repairs promptly according to deadlines set with customers and management. Able to perform stellar tunes, wheel trues, brake bleeds, fork service and complete bike builds
-Sell merchandise in the bike shop, including retail bikes, components, & protection
-Maintain a clean and organized bike shop
-Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to all safety regulations within the Service Department
-Partake in regularly scheduled staff/service meetings and events
