The Job Description
As the Procurement Manager, you will be the sole owner of the procurement function, reporting directly to the COO. This position will play a critical role in owning the entire end-to-end life cycle of product sourcing with our contract manufacturers in Asia. Responsibilities in the E2E value chain go from raw material sourcing to vendor management and timeline management, to inventory planning, to inbound logistics until the final product arrives at our Denver facility.
You will work closely with sales, design, and domestic operations.
Working closely with international vendors on process changes is vital; as well as being detailed oriented and organized in tracking and communicating spec changes between the Jack and Sage team and the vendor teams.
This position’s overall goal and responsibility is to get the product in spec, on time, with the target gross margin.

Key Responsibilities
Procurement

Manage production life cycle

Manage internal calendar for vendor order deadlines and workflows

Oversee production and review of internal design files for vendor use

Negotiate pricing
-
Cost modeling to understand component costs for transparent pricing

Build and place PO’s

Review and approve strike offs and samples
-
Manage timeline
-
Manage all inbound logistics, coordinating with freight forwarders and vendors, evaluating cost trade off decisions in the logistic value chain

Receive PO’s and perform QA/QC
Product Development

Provide input and support to design team for the development of new styles and new artwork

Ensure timeline development to meet sales timelines

Required - What skills you have

5+ years of procurement experience required

Experience building an efficient process with contract manufacturers

Ability to problem solve with international suppliers through any production issues or delays.

Strong calendar adherence and ability to drive processes for all cross functional partners
