Retail Store Manager
Responsible for leading a customer-focused and sales driven experience while exhibiting leadership and a passion for the products, brands, and services we offer. As the manager you will be consistently coaching your staff, empowering them to grow as individuals and employees while advancing your career.
Position Details:
As store manager you will have the responsibility of managing a team of associates, helping them grow and hone their individual skills while hitting targeted goals and ensuring customer satisfaction. Along with this you will oversee the day-to-day operations, coordinate staff, work with the marketing team, and assist in the buying process. Being a local retailer you will have the ability to touch most aspects of the store keeping your day-to-day routine ever changing.

The Spokane Alpine Haus is a locally owned and a growing retail store with its roots dating back to 1976. As a locally owned and operated business we focus on ski and snowboard in the winter while transitioning to bike and water sports in the summer. Under its current ownership for the last 9 years we have become more involved in the community we serve, while trying to stay ahead of trends by offering new brands and products for our customers. We pride ourselves on having the largest season lease programs in the region, while offering other top-notch services, including one of the best service shops in the region, as well as highly certified and trained technicians and boot fitters. Our local shop is starting to have a larger feel while maintaining our local roots and we are looking for the right people to help us continue to grow.
Responsibilities:
· Prioritize and delegate tasks to meet all selling, visual and operational goals
· Maintain a clean, well-organized, fully stocked sales floor, as well as maintain back stock
· Anticipate and determine customers needs and helps to resolve issues before they arise
· Assist in marketing the store with onsite and destination events
· Take on an assistant buyer role, helping maintain store stock and planning for future seasons
· Assist in the hiring process, managing employee schedules, and assisting in setting team goals and incentives
· Demonstrate willingness, aptitude, and initiative to learn what is unknown about products, brands, and trends
· Maintain consistent team training, keeping their staff confident and excited about the products/services we offer
· Maintain staff morale, assist in creative bonus/competition structures while helping retain staff

· Develop and nurture strong industry partnerships while proving to be a pillar in the community
· Be an advocate of the Alpine Haus in the industry and marketplace

Qualifications:
· Four-year college degree or Industry experience preferred
· Minimum of two years retail management preferred
· Minimum five years retail experience preferred
· Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
· Effective written, verbal and presentation skills
· Proven ability to drive sales results in a high sales volume environment
· Excellent time management skills
· Passion for the products, brands and services we offer
· Ability to interpret all policies and procedures to resolve customer and associate issues
· Willingness to travel periodically to attend meetings/workshops (overnight may be necessary)
· Proficient use of basic computer programs
Position Type/Expected hours of work:
This is a full-time, year round position. As a prominent local retailer, flexibility with work schedule and the ability to work weekends, evenings, and peak holidays is required.
