What you’ll do:

As Astral’s Community + Social Media Manager, you will build and strengthen our brand’s relationship with the brand’s ambassadors, archetypes and trusted advisors. You will be responsible for growing Astral’s social media presence, reach and engagement through the creation and publishing of on-brand, community-built content. In this role, you will be a primary, public-facing representative of Astral and will ensure that each community member and prospective consumer who engages with our brand leaves their interaction feeling elevated and joyful from their communication with our brand. 

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with brand archetypes, ambassadors, influencers, events and mission-aligned non-profit organizations across strategic and campaign-specific market segments

  • Manage all social media channels and respond to inquiries, comments, and messages in a timely manner  (ideally < 1 business hour, max 4 business hours)

  • Collaborate with internal Brand + Marketing teams to source, develop and publish community-created content and campaigns on social media in alignment with the internal marketing calendar

  • Manage product seeding to archetypes, ambassadors and product testers

  • Monitor + report on seeding effectiveness, community content creation and social media performance  KPIs

  • Communicate community-sourced opportunities and threats to the brand with cross-functional teams

  • Prioritize inclusivity in building new audiences, including welcoming all ages, genders, ethnicities, and body types into the Astralverse

  • Track budgets for product seeding, community support and event sponsorship

  • Willingness to represent Astral at select events as well as travel for meetings throughout the year (all expenses covered for Astral related travel)

  • Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Who you are:

  • Highly organized and a prompt communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Outgoing, natural connector of people and communities with a deep connection to the intersection of wilderness athletics, Nature and content creation

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, business or a related field

  • Minimum of 4+ years working experience in community management and social media marketing

  • Experience creating and executing social media strategies that grow reach, engagement and conversion rates

  • In-depth knowledge and proficiency of all social media platforms, best practices, content trends and engagement / performance analytics (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Proficiency in social media management + analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Sprout, etc.) 

  • Proficiency in community management + analytics platforms (Roster, Aspire, Grin, etc.)

  • Critical thinker with analytical skills for effective problem solving

  • Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and achieve goals

  • Demonstrate initiative, follow-through, and completion of all areas of responsibility from tasks to larger projects

  • Adapt to change, open-minded, and capacity to adjust to new situations or challenges

  • Team player that is able to compromise and handle conflicts professionally across all departments and levels of the organization

  • Creative thinker who generates new ideas and solutions

  • Maintain a positive and productive attitude in the face of setbacks and challenges

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Work is performed mostly in-office with remote flexibility. This position may include long periods of sitting at a computer. 

Physical requirements of this position include the following: 

  • Lifting up to 25 lbs.
