Summary:
This leadership role is responsible for global sales and dealer development to achieve company goals and objectives. This role oversees existing independent dealers, existing company owned retail locations, and company sales employees. The responsibility includes the need to develop a comprehensive new dealer strategy, market development plan, and execution. The role leads a team of four company employees and is a part of the leadership team, reporting to the CEO.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Strategy - develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- New Business Development – develop growth strategy to expand market share with existing dealers and develop strategy for dealer expansion in underserved markets
- Market Insights - conduct market research and analysis to understand dealer needs, competitive landscape, and pricing trends
- Dealer Programs – create and manage programs to ensure a strong brand presence at dealer locations, online, and industry events
- Northern California Store Location – oversee the sales personnel selling direct to consumers. Some coverage on occasional Saturdays will be needed for Sacramento, CA location
- Events – ensure strong company support and attendance at key industry events, with a focus on sales programs and measurements to drive success and allow ROI assessments
- Training – create and conduct training of dealers and the sales team on value-based pricing principles and tactics, with deep knowledge of the Four Wheel Campers’ product portfolio
- Leadership - lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring achievement of sales targets
- Forecasts and Budgeting - prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to the leadership team regularly
- CRM – ensure the sales team and company owned retail stores leverage CRM software tools and ensure KPI’s for lead generation and conversion
- Reporting and Analysis – ensure proper report development and utilization to drive decision making. Perform essential analysis and insights to grow profitable revenue.
Required Qualifications:
- Based in our Sacramento, CA world headquarters on a full-time basis. This is not a hybrid or remote position
- BS degree in Business or equivalent, an MBA a plus
- 15+ years of overall experience in business in various commercial roles
- 10+ years of people management experience
- Outdoor Industry experience in the US
- Canada and international experience a plus
- Manufacturing company experience
- Strong written, verbal, strategic, and analytical skills
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
- Strong project leadership and management experience
- A passionate outdoor enthusiast who loves camping regularly
- Willingness to travel primarily in North America up to 35% of the time
