MARKETING ASSOCIATE, FULL-TIME, 40 HRS/WK

THESE EXCITING TASKS AWAIT YOU

In this varied position, you are an ambassador for DT Swiss, represent our brand in the field and therefore create valuable impact on our various business partners’ satisfaction. You work independently on the assigned area of responsibility and thus shape it with personal ideas.

  • Responsible for the successful coordination and implementation of our event presence in North America
  • Create and execute compelling consumer experiences that tie into brand initiatives, including post-event evaluation
  • Constantly review new opportunities to keep the brand at the leading edge of consumer events
  • Conduct technical training, maintain sprinter van, and demo bikes and wheels
  • Plan, source, and coordinate marketing material for the purpose of events, athletes & teams, and public relations

MUST HAVE QUALITIES & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a high level of knowledge about the cycling industry, bicycle usage and mechanic experience, proficient with bicycle repair & wheels, and must understand how components of bicycles work together. You must also have a basic understanding of how suspension works.
  • Experience using email, such as Gmail or Outlook
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Cooperative, personable, flexible, reliable, honest, and ethical
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express your ideas in writing with appropriate tone, grammar, and spelling.
  • You must be able to provide excellent customer service by assessing each customer’s specific need and provide a customized solution. You must also be able to express empathy to each and every customer regarding their concern.
  • You must be able to work positively and successfully as part of a team or independently.
  • You must be able to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing tasks, while still meeting important deadlines and maintaining high levels of accuracy and detail-orientation.
  • You must be able to effectively plan & organize, problem-solve, and contribute to process improvement.
  • Be able to build and maintain positive working relationships, manage conflict by seeking constructive approaches.
  • Have the ability to apply critical & strategic thinking skills to aid in decision making.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High willingness to travel (up to 100 days through the course of the year), with irregular work including late shifts and/or weekend days.
  • Ability to sit or stand for 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds or more.

PREFERRED QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Previous work experience may substitute for the education preference.
  • Previous usage and mechanic experience with the ability to complete wheel builds to exact specifications.
  • Experience with SAP software
  • Fluency in German and/or Spanish
