Oberalp NA is seeking (3) Independent Agencies in three separate territories for the premium Mountain brand SALEWA.  Representation is wanted in the Northwest, Midwest, and TALO territories in the United States.




The Territory Independent Agency is a multidisciplinary role responsible for delivering best in class sales and account services for the SALEWA brand at wholesale. This position demands a well-balanced professional focused on achieving meaningful and measurable growth, while nurturing long-lasting relationships.

Under the direction of the Sales Management team, the Agency is tasked with actualizing key sales initiatives during sell-in and sell-out campaigns. The position is responsible for managing and servicing all aspects of their account base including, but not limited to, order entry, order processing, warranty requests, sales clinics, and sales presentations.

The Agency will join a team of highly motivated and hardworking individuals that have a passion for the outdoor industry and are part of a forward-thinking family-owned brand.



  • Oversee Specialty Retail Account sales for specific territories with the SALEWA brand
  • Implement national sales strategies within the territory under the direction of the sales management team
  • Provide exceptional level of account support, maintaining high standards for attentiveness and response times
  • Maintain and foster relationships with key staff, buyers, and owners.
  • Attend national sales meetings 2x per year and work collaboratively with other sales agencies
  • Attend all pertinent national and regional trade shows including GOA, regional shows, rep shows, and others.
  • Responsible for sell-in of SALEWA during seasonal cycles
  • Set seasonal sales targets and provide monthly feedback reports
  • Responsible for submitting pre-season and chasing at-once orders, registering accounts for B2B
  • Implement and monitor all designated sell-out responsibilities
  • Contribute to accounts business via regular review and analysis of inventory potential
  • Engage in regular store visits, clinic training, and events
  • Place and identify opportunities for point of sale tools
  • Support and assist in planning of co-operative opportunities with National Specialty accounts
  • Provide market feedback on a consistent basis
  • Align closely with internal Dealer and Customer service team members
  • Maintain brand guidelines and drive consistency among offline, online, and multichannel accounts



  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in field sales and brand support
  • Ability to establish strong, professional, working relationships
  • Demonstrated people and account management skills with experience in data-driven decision-making
  • Proven track record of regular reporting and the ability to articulate recommendations
  • Experience with travel and tradeshows, sample management, sales planning, inventory forecasting, and budget management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust, resulting in effective working relationships across the company
  • Demonstrates innovation and initiative – always looking at improving processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help out wherever necessary
  • Passion for mountain sports

The company offers competitive compensation for the outdoor industry.  This is a commission-based position based on contractual obligations as agreed upon between the Sales Agency and Oberalp North America.
