About Us

As you may know, we’re one of the oldest job boards in the industry.  We have a network of over 160,000 job seekers, and thousands of employers.  We’re a small, results-oriented team that’s passionate about the outdoor industry.  We’re looking for someone that can expand our network of active employers by getting more companies to post on the site.

 

Location

FULLY REMOTE!

There are no location or travel requirements.

 

Hours

FLEXIBLE!

Work on your schedule.  Most of our clients will be working standard office hours, so there will be a need to have meetings 6AM to 5PM Pacific – but you will have total flexibility in setting meetings and working your target list.  This job is ideal for someone that is already in independent sales or can take on part-time work.

 

The Job

You’ll work from an approved target list – we can provide you with as many targets as you need, and you can add to this list.   Target lists can be amended or expanded at any time by mutual pre-agreement.  You will focus on these categories:

  • Clients that have not posted in the past 18 months
  • Large clients that selectively post jobs but could post far more.
  • Companies where you have personal relationships

Your job will be to network on LinkedIn, send emails, make phone calls, and get meetings.  You will work within our CRM to track progress.   Once you close an account, you will follow up with the clients to make sure that they are happy (which you help you earn more commission).  We will provide you with marketing materials, fulfill any requests for additional materials, and will be available to help with any questions.

 

What We’re Looking For

Someone with strong relationships in the industry that is motivated to find more clients.  The perfect fit would have experience in HR and Sales within the industry, but we will consider every application on its merits, regardless of experience.  If you think you can do the job, apply and tell us why.

 

Pay

To start, this is a commission-only job, but that could change depending on performance / revenue.  There is an opportunity for hourly pay if the role transitions to client management.  If you knock it out of the park, there is also an opportunity for a salaried role.  There will be opportunities for paid trips to industry conferences if you are interested.  There are also bonuses for collecting video or written testimonials.

The commission plan is aggressive.  It includes a VERY HIGH rate for all business signed in Year 1, with recurring payments in Year 2 and 3.

 

Benefits

As this an independent contractor position, it will not include benefits like health insurance, 401K, etc.  That being said, there are definitely benefits:

  • Remote
  • Flexible hours / schedule
  • $100 bonus per video testimonial; $25 bonus per written testimonial
  • Paid trips to industry conferences
  • Hourly pay if you want to take on client management (support emails/phone)
  • We’re a small company – if you see things that need to be done, we will empower you to make those changes and compensate you accordingly.  You will grow with the company and have an opportunity to craft your own role over time.
