Company Description
We opened in Anchorage, AK on Fairbanks Street in 1995. Our small gym was your classic dirtbag hangout with sendy vibes and misfit attitudes. It was truly a place for our small Anchorage community to gather and find community.
The climbing industry has since exploded (Hello, Olympics!). To make climbing more accessible to everyone, Alaska Rock Gym expanded and built a bigger, more modern, brand new facility on 33rd street in 2016! We are (still) the only climbing gym in Anchorage.
ARG now offers 20,000 square feet of climbable terrain! With a mezzanine dedicated to bouldering and the lower level offering a variety of 40' climbing walls, we've got something for everyone.
